Anything inside the historic part of Cartagena is worth visiting. Every building has a story and the city in itself is full of character.

In June 2017, this highlight of Cartagena is closed to the public as it's undergoing renovation. It's a great shame. The crumbling outside facade is still worth seeing, particularly as it may well be spruced up as part of the rebuild and thus may lose...More

One of the nice buildings of the old city we passed up with our tourguide. They just started a service, so we could not enter.

Unfortunately this beautiful church is closed for renovation. When will it open again for visitors is anybody's guess! but you can walk by and admire the beautiful facade. Dont miss the musicians on the square in front of the church.

We could not go in due to renovation, however this building was right down the street from our hotel. My tip is to locate your hotel related to St. Catherine tower, and you can always find you way back along the narrow winding streets. Would...More
