The other reviews sum up the fort’s history and overall grandeur very well. So I will move on to another facet of the fort’s character. The fort seems to be a love beacon for travelers, tourists, and locals. I went at sunset (because it’s more...More

The adult admission is 10,000 pesos I believe, I paid 8,000 with my NYC teacher identification! It says teacher discount on the sign. I recommend going in the early morning or when the sun is going down, when it is not too hot. I went...More

More interesting than we were expecting and the audioguide is excellent. There's a good restaurant across from the entrance with air conditioning, a great view, and tasty patacones.

The castle has a lot of history, the tunnels are interesting to explore, and the view is outstanding. I think if I were more interested in military history I'd rate this five stars.

This fortress is huge and historic. The audio guide is very good, if lengthy. It gets hot up there in the mid-day sun, so wear your hat and sunscreen. And try -- just try -- to avoid the narcissistic selfie addicts posing all over the...More

Nice place to visit. Interesting and educating history. You don't realize this is the place of pirates a well as a sad story of the slave trade. That aside, really cool place.

Went there couple weeks ago and it was worth a visit. The fort is full of history, clean and very well maintained. The view of the city was really amazing. There were many stairs and inclines, so if you have knee problem, I don't think...More

Now don't get me wrong, I do recommend a visit to this enormous structure. The views from the top, and the sheer size of this fortress provide wonderful photo opportunities. You get to explore the maze that is the interiors of this centuries old space....More

It will depend on the kind of disability. If you can walk up hill slowly, you will get to the most interesting site, with good views of the city. You will probably miss the tunnels, which are not so great anyway. The view... More
