It is a place for people to come together and have a nice time either relaxing or playing cards or even dancing on the streets. It is a beautiful square that is full of trees and the statue of Simon Bolivar on his horse sits triumphantly in the middle of the square. It is a nice place to rest if... More

Loved this square, both for the history and for the surrounding restaurants and museums. Great meeting location, or place to see some local vendors.

It's a nice green spot in the city center. When we went there, there were some street dancers performing local dances. I really enjoyed the show.

Nice little plaza to view on your way walking around Getsemani area. Not much to see other than main statue in image, good for quick visit.

Our local guide told us that there are performances at this square every day at about 5 to 7 PM every day. Another time a traditional, intense and colorful group... More

The plaza is a very beautiful place in Cartagena perfect to sit and relax , but lately the street shows are to loud and nonstop, so the peaceful place is not anymore, too noisy to relax, it is a shame that such a beautiful place doesn't have control in this street shows.
