Catch the metro train to get to the cable car. Stops along the way. Get off and explore the neighborhoods where you will meet good people. Shopping for almost anything can be found off the beaten path

I visited two neighborhoods and found this experience fun and safe. You may end up with locals riding with you. I would recommend not venturing too far from the stops in the cable car if you decide to venture forth.

Cheap efficient and great views to be had from this special form of public transport Medillian of which they are rightly so proud. Well worth it just for an experience but great to get around too.

Clean, safe, easy to use, A stunning view of the whole city. Great way to reach the wonderful Parque Arvi up in the mountains. This was the #1 thing I did in Medellin!

I am not 100% confident but there appears to be more than enough space on the metro cable....people are relatively easy going. I am not sure how "big" is big but I would say that a normal suit case (15-20 kilos) would not... More

We bought a one-time travel ticket for use on public transport. As long as you stay in the transport system and don’t leave it, you can use metro, metro cable etc on one ticket.
