We had a greater afternoon going north on the metro and then up the metro cable all the way to parque Arvi. It's a great way to get out of the city and see the "barrios" that you pass overhead. And it's cheap entertainment!

We went on the metro cable, and it was a great ride all the way up to Arvi park, we got there like at 2pm and there was no line..

Great way to see the local life on the hillsides. You can see how this cable car has changed life for many locals. Also was a good chance to interact with locals

Yes yes yes. So interesting and fun way to see the city. Cost almost nothing to buy a metro ticket. Closes at 10 pm so if you plan to get off at the top and walk around, plan for than. Also fun to just loop around and ride it back down.

What a great way to see a city! The metro, and specifically the metro cars, provide an opportunity to see the city and get some perspective of the size and how parts of the city used to be completely detached. You can also take the metro cable cars to Park Arvi, which is a beautiful park where you can take... More

I went because I wanted to see the Spanish Library at Santo Domingo. But the library is closed for renovation so we did not get out of the cable car. People are super friendly and they chat with us in the cable car, it's kind of intimate environment for public transportation.

The metrocable is a tram from a metro station to Arvi Park. The ride is worth the time, but plan to spend some time at the top in the Park.
