Fencing around complete front plaza. No more details are available now. I don't know if there is renovations planned or closed for lead-in to Semana Santa.

Like visiting churches, cathedrals? This is one you should not miss. And although you are in a warm city, the inside if this cathedral feels a bit cold.

We walked here from the Bolivar park and it's not far. We could not enter because it was closed, so if you really want to enter you should check the opening times prior. The cathedral is beautiful and there's lots of people sitting around enjoying...More

We went on purpose to pay a visit. This was Thursday 4pm and the cathedral was totally closed !!!! From the outside nothing stands out ....the surrounding area including a the large square and garden are quite unsafe !

Check your times before going, the plaza in front of the church is nice. I visited on a Wednesday at 5, they opened 5:15 and the mass was celebrated at 6pm
