The Asbury Park boardwald has been revivied in recent years. There are now many interesting dining choices whether you desire a casual meal while stolling the boardwalk or enjoying the beach or a more refined meal.

I don't even remotely understand why this is considered an "attraction." It's a boardwalk on the Jersey Shore. Each one has it's own "personality" that is dictated by each community's standards. These standards determine the ratio of bars:restaurants:schlock shops:carnival games: food purveyors & types of food purveyed. Either you like a beach town, or you don't. But hey, whatever, it's... It was okay. Nothing super special and reminded me of the Atlantic City one with fewer attractions along the way.

Went back to Asbury Park while visiting Spring Lake. Last time visited must have been around 30 years ago. After hearing about its near demise, I was glad to see the park is starting to come back. Our early morning trip was pleasant and we had a very nice walk along the boardwalk. We didn't stay for the whole day... More

I love love love this boardwalk. It's being fixed but it's slowly losing what makes it so original. I loved coming here to shoot pictures but it's slowly being renewed and the old history is being replaced with new. I kind of have mixed feelings about what is being done. The carousel house is now a skate park with ugly... More

Sparse crowds, quiet, clean beach, adult crowd, long maintained boardwalk, safe, vintage paramount theater had a production of the Nutcracker, nostalgic Convention Hall was running a holiday bazaar with a Beerfest in the works for Jan 28/29th, no crazy loud amusement park atmosphere, in the process of rebuilding, sit down restaurants like McCloonie's Grille & Asbury Oyster Bar , try... What a great place to sun, stroll, eat, drink, and listen to the summer stage at the Stone Pony. The beach is fabulous ! The water is clean ! Roll off the beach bring a change of clothes and freshen up at the complex on Cookman (great hidden jem complete with clean private showers, adirondack chairs, and hammacks). Stroll up... More

Great to see the rebirth of the Asbury Park Boardwalk and surrounding area. The revival has been unreal with upscale restaurants, pubs, and shops poping up all over the place. Convention hall is in full swing like in the 50's/60's with concerts, shows, movies and special events. The boards are wide and new for a great summer, fall, or spring... More

With the ghosts of Bruce Springsteen stories wafting through the arcades, while the fireworks are hailin' over Little Eden tonight, forcin' a light into all those stony faces left stranded on this warm July, it's impossible not to experience a tinge of what the Jersey Shore was not too long ago. ENJOY THESE MOMENTS as they pass all too soon.
