About
Boardwalk Hall is a multi-purpose facility located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk and features the 141,000-square-foot main arena with a capacity of 14,770 seats as well as the 23,100-square-foot Adrian Phillips Theater with a capacity of 3,200. Constructed in 1929 as the country’s original convention center, for 85 years Boardwalk Hall has dazzled guests and residents of Atlantic City with legendary stage icons such as Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. In 2001, a $90-million restoration project was completed to transform the original convention hall into its current state as a modern special events arena capable of hosting concerts, sporting events and family shows. Boardwalk Hall is owned and funded by the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). Spectra by Comcast Spectacor provides both Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality to Boardwalk Hall.

Not a great place for music and concerts
Feb. 2020
We saw Celine Dion there in Feb 2020. Old building that had all kinds of issues like plumbing problems in the bathrooms the night we were there. Most seats on the sides are uncomfortable and it is hard to see the stage. But they were still expensive. The staff will not even allow you to take drinks inside the venue (even water) unless in plastic cups. There are way better places to see concerts - this place is in need of a lot of work.

Show Celine Dion
Feb. 2020
The hall is poor in acoustic. We went for the Celine Dion show and sincerely I am pretty sure this is more for sport game than music. This is my opinion so may be that will be ok for others

Take the Curator's tour of world's largest musical instrument
Jan. 2020
We took the 2 hour behind-the-scenes curator's tour (Wednesdays at 10:00 AM). The tour was amazing and the volunteers did an excellent job showing off the largest organ (and largest musical instrument period) on the planet. The organ is undergoing restoration and you get to see the workshop as well as the rooms with the pipes (they range in size from 3/8" to 64 feet high). The tour is followed by a 30 minute organ concert. Very well worth the time. Also, the tour is free with a suggested donation of $10/person to be used towards the restoration.

to listen to the artists on stage songs - as the sound in this place was HORRIBLE! This was my 2nd event here (2 TOTALLY different ends of the spectrum) and each time, I was disappointed.
Saw KidzBop there last year, though it was pop tunes and kids voices so maybe that was why my ears hurt. Saw an old school Hip Hop concert last weekend and same thing! Terrible sound. Most of these artists have been in the business for a long time and even recognized it by going acapella! The sound seemed to have improved by the end of the night but I sincerely think my ears just compensated and adjusted to the bad sound.
For a 4 hour event, and music enthusiasts, we were not pleased. Going to buy rounds of $13 or $18 dollar drinks (twice) did not help, so now my ears and my wallet hurts. The main thing I was glad for, was buying the single seats in section 118 (the arm rests did not stay in the up position - worn down) as we did not have to deal with folks walking by us in the tight regular rows of seats. Be ware of the top single seat though (KK), as if the patrons in the row above kick your chair or spill a drink, its going all over your jacket/you. Your head is at their foot level.
The bathrooms, were bathrooms. no news here.

Attended the All Star Hip Hop show ... sound was absolutely horrible. I didn’t enjoy it at all bc you could barely hear what the rappers was singing...will not be returning next year. However, Dougie Fresh’s performance was OUTSTANDING

Scam Scam

This place over charged my bank card 4 times when purchasing 2 drinks that total $23. The cashier stated, the reason for my Bank Card not approving the purchase because I am from out of town. I may need to make my Bank to make them aware of my location. I gave the cashier cash and my car was still charged 4 times. Please Be mindful when purchasing.

After parking and everything about how long did it take to get admitted and to your seats? It says the doors open 1 hour before the show and I don’t want to go to early and have to sit there and wait but I don’t want to be late?

I am not aware of specific parking for Boardwalk Hall but you can park at Caesar’s which is nearby and has ample parking. It is a short walk on the boardwalk

The closer the better but I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are amazing and there are no columns or barriers to block your view. Enjoy!

Has anyone sat in club seats? Was looking at section 322 but never been here so not sure what the view is like.

Sorry but I don't know about club seats...I know that we sit in section 122 and it is on the first level not counting the floor seats. I would imaging the 300 seats are up high but not sure. You can go to the event you want to see and pick out your own seats.
