If you are spending any time at all on Isabella Island, this is something to see. The slopes down to the floor of the volcano reminded me of the cliff coast of Kauai Island Hawaii - very lush. That may explain why one of the...More

We had a guide that explained the various volcanic geological attractions. We were lucky enough to have a clear day, so the view of the various geological formations, the crater and the east and west coastlines was fabulous. The hike was comfortable and not strenuous....More

Climbing to the top of this volcano was one of the highlights of our visit to the Galapagos. A good gentle workout, and gorgeous vistas. If you are adventurous you can go completely around the rim - a much longer trek, but enjoyable.

Pretty challenging hike for some. Wear good shoes and lots of sun block. Views of caldera are spectacular, especially after a rain when the "steam" is rising up through the vents.
