My husband and I teamed up with a couple of girls from our hostel to hire a driver for the day to drive to some harder to reach spots further from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. It was a really great day and it cost $60 between us to visit a tortoise sanctuary, Lagoon El Junco and a couple of other places,... More

Puerto Chino is a lovely little beach around 25 km away from the main town. There are many sea lions, sea turtles and birds here. The beach has a beautiful white sand and water is crystal clear blue. This is definitely the nicest beach I have been to on San Cristobal. Not many people swim here due to the strong... More

This beach is typically visited as part of a trip to Lagoon el Junco and Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado because it is quite a drive from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. It was too rough to swim the day we were there, but still a very nice setting. Not worth the drive just for the beach, but a nice stop as part... More

This beach is quite lovely and good for swimming/sunbathing. The water was a beautiful Turquoise and waves very low. Not too many sea lions around which was nice.

This white sand beach has gentle waves and a gently sloping sandy bottom. It is perfect for swimming! Water clarity and lack of rocks make snorkeling not that great. It's a hot 15 minute walk out from where the taxi leaves you but that cool water feels great! There are sea lions and supposedly a colony of blue footed boobies... More

This little beach is best reached by taxi unless you are a cycler! A cute little beach with a wonderful trail cleared to get there. You will see all sorts of crazy vegetation along the way, birds tweeting in the brush and finally the ocean itself. A romantic spot for sunset! Need a tax call Christian he is a certified... More

Came down to this beach as part of a Highlands tour. The beach is beautiful and the kids had alot of fun riding the waves. The water was too churned up from waves to see anything snorkeling. Not a far walk along a path from the drop off point. If your looking for a pretty beach this is it but... More
