Amazing water
May 2020
We came here, with a larger group, for the express idea of snorkeling, and were not disappointed at all. This was an amazing time. We did walk around the area and caught sight of a number of land iguanas and one small shark, trapped in a tidal pool. The arid landscape was amazing beautiful and the water was better still. We spent our time in wet suits, as the water is chilly, but otherwise, it was amazing. We spotted all sorts of fish, small white-tipped sharks and even a couple of sea lions. The water was crystal clear and you could see forever (yes, the water was shallow). The trip back was "interesting" as the boat we were on lost two of three engines. The ride was s l o w, but the view was amazing. My partner and I sat up on the pilot's deck and just watched.

Absolutely LOVED this trip and the time on, and in, the water. WELL worth the time it took to get there and back.

Yes, still catching up on reviews, this trip was in 12/19.

Good walk
Nov. 2019
This hill is named after iguanas. We didnt see very many but the walk through this arid landscape was lovely, with extensive views from the summit

Had fun searching for the iguanas
Jun. 2019 • Couples
We took a walk through the island to search for the land iguanas. We found at least 15 which included males and females of different sizes. We knew if there was an iguana hole that more than likely, an iguana was nearby. The males are a yellow orange and larger while the females are just dark. We found a few in their holes watching us. We enjoyed the hike to see the flora and fauna and the views from the hillsides as well.

Didn’t see many iguanas
Mar. 2019 • Couples
Pleasant walk past a lagoon with some marine iguanas. Beautiful landscape but we didn’t see many dragons along the way until the end where there was one on the path eating. Views from the top to Guy Fawkes Islands. The vegetation was probably to thick to see many. If you want to see lots of dragons visit North Seymour nature walk instead.

Cerro Dragon is another of the incredible sites of the Galapagos
Jan. 2019 • Couples
Dragon Hill (Cerro Dragon) is a barren area that is full of land iguanas. It is a starkly beautiful place that is good for hikers. It is a challenging walk in that it is quite rocky (volcanic). The iguanas were everywhere. We did not see the flamingos that were supposed to be there but they were hiding the day we were there.

We visited the place from the cruise boat and we walked around for at least one hour and half. It's a magic place! We saw these incredible Yellow land iguanas and they were in the mate season, so with incredible colours! Yes, don't miss this place

My favourite Galápagos Island
Aug. 2018 • Couples
For photos this Island is a photographers dream and I was in my element as the scenery was stunning. With a lagoon and the sea on a good day the colours are vibrant. Red carpet vine and azure seas, white coral sands and black lava rock. This was a very very pretty place and had lots of very different areas including a good look out point.

Land Iguanas!!
Jan. 2018 • Friends
First sighting of a land iguana and what AJ experience. It’s a big trip inland and can get very hot, but the scenery is remarkable and it all worth it when you see a land iguana in the wild and their amazing colours.

Land Iguanas and Cacti Galore
Dec. 2016 • Couples
We took the" Letty ", a yacht operated by Ecoventura, the company that took us to Santa Cruz, Galapagos Islands, and were accompanied by several frigate birds that hovered about ten feet above our heads as we sat on deck taking in the scenery. Some perched on the yacht and others also engaged in some mid air fighting for space above our heads. We walked the Cerro Dragon (Dragon Hill) trail accompanied by our very knowledgeable Ecoventura guides and soaked up the scenery provided by the proliferation of Opuntia Cacti and Land iguanas as well as many Marine Iguanas. The various shapes and sizes of the cacti made for some great photographs as did the Land Iguanas which due to their size and proximity to the trail allowed for some super close up photos. Some of the cacti were showing off yellow blossoms and some of those had bees nuzzling into the flowers sucking up nectar. Spread out to the horizon from the trail was an endless view of leafless bushes/trees and several cones of volcanoes making for a very desolate scene. A very interesting excursion.
