One of the places where you can see and hear a lot of birds, watch the sea lions, snorkel along the rocks, sit and enjoy the beach or go swimming where the beach warmed water doesn't require a wet suit. The bird sounds are incredible...like Jurrasic park!

This beach area provides a decent beach but also wildlife and birds on the beach or its immediate hinterland, such as the lagoons. We saw flamingo there

My family and I rode our hotel bikes to this hidden, lovely beach. The only way to the beach is a walk along a long path. However, it’s worth it. You pay a small entry fee, after leaving our bikes at the entrance. We went to explore and was amazed of a large empty and open beach area. Then we walked further and found many folks in a smaller cozy beach area. Waters and sea animals are so pretty to see. What a great beach!

You can see flamingos and many other birds. Nice swimming and snorkeling beach. There however no shade near the beach.

Playa las Banchas is a lovely beach that happens to have some rusting barges left over from World War II. We found out that the American Army was in the Galapagos. They built an air base in Baltra that is now the airport and they left some barges that are almost unidentifiable but is worth the time for the history.

For land based Galapagos trips, this beach is a must if you plan to stay at all in the highlands of Santa Cruz! The beach is a short bike ride from the highlands, and lets you see a different side of Santa Cruz than the busier port city of Puerto Ayora. The beach was almost deserted of tourists, which made it even more pleasant. We saw flamingos in the lagoon area, and came across a tortoise on the road during our bike ride in! Our only complaint is that we should have budgeted more time.

The title is probably emblematic of any snorkeling activity in the Galapagos. This one didn't disappoint. I swam with 3 sea turtles and watch d them frolic and eat. I saw a white tipped reef shark--he didn't stay around long. There were thousands of beautiful tropical fish and an occasional pelican dive bombing the unsuspected fish below. All in all, it was a great day and was lucky to get some great pictures.

It was a second stop on our boat tour to the island of Seymour (lost of birdlife!): it is nice for snorkeling. We only had 45 minutes there on the tour so we had a walk around: we saw a lone flamingo (made some beautiful photographs) in a pond near the beach and a heron. The guide advised to to go up the higher end of the beach as there are the nest with eggs of the turtles, just underneath the sand... sometimes difficult to distinguish, as the sand was blown over by the wind.

After our visit to North Seymour, a swim in this pristine beach was amazing. Lots of fish while snorkeling but quite a strog current.

A short, pretty uninspiring walk to a lagoon that held a solitary flamingo. Purely used by cruise operators as a first day filler whilst they wait to fill any last minute spots! I certainly could not recommend, even as a day trip out of PA. much better places to discover!
