An incredible and beautiful beach, very quiet, featuring numerous herons, pelicans and iguanas. A great place to relax after an early morning nature tour.

Tortuga Bay is definitely worth a visit if you're on Santa Cruz. The main beach is a long strip of white powder sand with perfect blue/green water (at least on a sunny day). Even on a busy day, the beach is so big you'll definitely find room for yourself. The snorkelling/kayaking lagoon around the corner is also nice, although I... More

Aside from island hopping, this was my favorite adventure on our Galapagos vacation. I've been to many beaches, but this could very well be my favorite.

It's a lovely white sand beach. The walk is pleasant and nice on a paved road. I don't recommend it though because there are so many strange and wonderful things to see in the Galapagos that it seems like a waste of time to spend it playing by a generic beach.

The easiest place to see marine iguanas. After a 2 mile hike to the beach on a rolling brick path, you get to the wide open beach. It was pretty empty when I went there at 9 am. If you walk down the beach to the right about a mile, you'll see mangroves where there are dozens of marine iguanas... More

The sand at Tortuga bay does not get hot sone may walk on it in the heat of the day. However it is a 45 minute walk to get ther and another 20 minutes of beach walking if you want to snorkel. There is a boat one can take too. I found the walk in the heat was a little... More

The walk to get to the beach is a bit boring. Not much to see that you can not see all over the island but the beach is nice. The first beach you get to is too rough for swimming. There are lots of iguanas at the end of the first beach. But you can see them all over town... More

The walk path has very little shade and bug spray would help. The beach is beautiful once you get there and full of very large marine iguanas. The water is so blue but you have to walk out to get to deeper water to swim. There is a smaller beach to the right that is good for snorkeling but you... More

One of the most fantastic places of Galapagos. These lovely, survivor ceteosaurus are all over on the white, unspoiled beach. You can observe them withing the 2 m rule, but occassionally it is themsleves who climb closer to you on the rocks. Thay are incredible tame, just look at you with their dignified face. You can observe them in the... More
