The park entrance is the only place with restrooms. The walk to the beach is a paved pathway through undulating hills. There is vegetation and spectacular cactus forest along the way. The walk to the beach is around 1.5 miles and is a beautiful beach. The second beach is about half a mile and has kayaks available to go out... More

We went running from our place La Fortaleza to the tortuga bay. It took us only 25 minutes to reach the beach. We were there at 07.00 in the morning and it was still quiet. A big white beach. When you go to the left the way stops very soon. When you walk to the right there are a lot... More

Nice beach to go, but from the city it is a pretty long walk around 30 min to the office where you have to write in en then another 30 minutes to the beach. If you cone up the beach and you go to the right you will get to another beach where you can go swimming, they water is... More

I really enjoyed the walk to this expansive beach. The red flag was out, but as you veer to the right we came upon a calm lagoon where we went swimming and kayaking. As we first approached the powder sugar like sand, we saw so many marine iguanas! I was intimidated about walking by them, but realized they are harmless.... More

An incredible and beautiful beach, very quiet, featuring numerous herons, pelicans and iguanas. A great place to relax after an early morning nature tour.

Tortuga Bay is definitely worth a visit if you're on Santa Cruz. The main beach is a long strip of white powder sand with perfect blue/green water (at least on a sunny day). Even on a busy day, the beach is so big you'll definitely find room for yourself. The snorkelling/kayaking lagoon around the corner is also nice, although I... More

Aside from island hopping, this was my favorite adventure on our Galapagos vacation. I've been to many beaches, but this could very well be my favorite.

It's a lovely white sand beach. The walk is pleasant and nice on a paved road. I don't recommend it though because there are so many strange and wonderful things to see in the Galapagos that it seems like a waste of time to spend it playing by a generic beach.
