Beautiful beach; a lot easier to get to than Tortuga Bay, but not as beautiful, vast, and breathtaking as Tortuga Bay... Should visit, but not as another option to Tortuga Bay!

We came to this beach for only a few hours. But it is a nice secluded beach with staff. You must check in and out. They tell you where to swim at to avoid the rocks under the surface and the currents. Not too many visitors so you are almost by yourself there. There is another inlet/cove right next door... More

We stopped for an afternoon dip and happened upon a group of 4 flamingos feeding, a couple of marine iguanas, and other interesting sea life.... lots of crabs scurrying about. The beach is clean, with soft sand. It does close at 5 pm...

This beach is not as crowded as Tortuga Bay. It is also very beautiful and calm. You can take a chiva car for $2 or a taxi for $20.

I went to this beach 4 times while on the islands; I was completely in love! You can kayak or swim, and the water was warm and the waves were nice. My advice is enter from the far left side or bring water shoes, as there are small patches of rocks that may hurt (but wouldn't cut) your feet. Also,... More

I rented snorkeling gear and experienced amazing things in the water! A sea lion swam right up to me under water and i also swam next to 3 sea turtles. I highly recommend doing this!

As one of the supposed better restaurants in the town, it was a Monday night and the place was packed (mostly with tourists, not locals). We had to wait for a table, the service was average, the happy hour drinks were weak, and the food was good to very good with above average prices. The floor was simply small lava... More

I did not have plans to visit this beach, but my taxi driver who took me around the highlands recommended it and I was glad I took his advice. The drive there in itself was beautiful. Like all the beaches on the Galapagos, it was a bit of a walk to get there. THe beach itself was as beautiful as... More

We were pleasantly surprised by El garrapatero. If you go to El Chato, ask your driver to bring you to them for an additional $5. It's a very easy walk, and you can see some cool landscapes that you won't see anywhere else. They are distinct in shape and size, and definitely worth checking out!

We had a day to fill on Santa Cruz and decided to try this beach. We were staying in Puerto Ayora and had access to bikes so we decided to cycle to Bellavista (approx. 5 kms) and see how we felt then. Unfortunately, it is mostly uphill and the bikes we were riding were well past their best - one... More
