Freedive Dahab is the first Freediving School and Shop in Dahab. We Opened our doors already in 2003. We offer all levels of freediving, from beginner courses to instructor training courses. We organize freediving events and competitions and offer high quality freediving training and equipment also for the most advanced freedivers.

The third time with Waleed (from the Freedive Place) and Freedive Dahab for a Master Program. I've been to several other places around the world, and I don't plan to go back to any of the others.
The fact that this is my third time here says it all really. Nothing fancy (this is Egypt!) at the shop, but it all works. Waleed is an instructor trainer, and he has been around freediving for years. He knows what he is doing, and gives a good mix between challenging individuals to do their best whilst making progress slow enough to be safe and give comfort.
The master program has what you would expect, briefings, immediate post dive discussin, as well as session debriefs and plans for when individuals dive with other masters rather than the instructor.
The fact that this is my third time here says it all really. Nothing fancy (this is Egypt!) at the shop, but it all works. a great freediving center located at the lighthouse beach, and close to all of the restaurants and shops.
in the center there are nice rooms and great balcony.
there are several excellent freediving instructors that give a very good and professional experience at the courses and training.
we did the freediving level 3 course and several training white Walid, the senior instructor at the center, a wonderful person. and a very professional instructor, took us several steps forward, in every session you are filling that he is giving you a huge benefit!
the recption teem are very nice and smiling all of the time (specially if you are white bamba😂).
very recommended!!!

The Freedive Dahab team is a group of wonderful people dedicated to making sure that you have the best experience possible. From the team in the office, to the instructors and even the other freedivers at the centre, they all make the place come alive - what a great vibe - you truly feel immersed in the ‘freediving journey’!
Added bonus is that the center is walking distance from the Lighthouse reef with plenty of depth and warm water.
I completed the SSI level two freediving course with instructor Mike - he is excellent! He has a calming presence and is very knowledgeable. He is also very reassuring and guides you through the process, acknowledging any challenges you may have whilst making you feel safe to push and improve each time. I learnt a lot on this course including safety, technique, theory and exercises. I feel I walked away well equipped to take my freediving a level further.
Honestly, I can’t wait to be back and train there again, it’s just a great place with lovely people - it’s a community!
My partner and I stayed at the centre for three weeks in the large on-suite room - it’s great value for money, clean and comfortable.
Thanks to Selma, Hagar and Rasha for making us feel at home!

Freedive Dahab is a great place to start your freediving journey. I did the level 1 course with them at the end of my stay in Dahab, and ended up wishing that my stay was longer so I could have done more. The pace of the course was good, and the instructors were excellent at adapting their approach to individual students' needs - both patient and encouraging with those who struggled, and helping those who were more advanced to discover their limits. I had problems equalising on the open water session, and was given some very good exercises and the tip to watch Aharon Solomons' video on Frenzel equalisation, which helped me to pass the course. The other thing which must be mentioned is ice bath Thursdays! They have an ice bath on the rooftop, which was a perfect end to a day of freediving - lots of people took part, and you feel cool for the rest of the day even in 35C heat.

In the beginning of the summer I was spending nine days at Freedive Dahab in Egypt with the intention to do the Level 1 and Level 2 training and certification.
All the instructors where very good at what they were doing and a majority of the instructors were female. The later part is of significance when you are new to freediving, it is scary in the beginning and a comforting attitude from the instructor makes a big difference!
The staff is very friendly and helpful and help and resolve all issues that you encounter.
I had the opportunity stay in one of the accommodation rooms provided in the dive center, something I strongly recommend as there are a lot of social activities going on at the center.
The atmosphere at the center is including and social, from day one you have friends to socialize with. Considering I was traveling on my own, this was very important.

I had an amazing time in Freedive Dahab learning my level 1 and 2 free diving courses. It is a sweet place with so many friendly people! We got two T-shirts with Freediving logo printed on them, love it! Our instructor Mike is super professional and helpful throughout the whole learning journey and I’m very grateful to have him as my instructor. Theory classes are always so fun and interesting, we all love the little experiments. Wish to be back again to this place for more training courses

Amazing freediving learning journey in Dahab, Egypt and I want to thank everyone there for being very kind and supportive! Especially the cats and other animals too, they made my day…always.
Also the greatest credit to our instructor Mike who made this learning journey so meaningful and fun for us… Mike is very professional and he has a great way of teaching student…
At first we went to the classroom for theory classes but it’s too boring so after that we decide to go to the second floor to do some breathing exercise plus some small experiments that help us to understand the theory better. He always comes up with brilliant teaching methods and so patient to everyone. If you have question and you ask him, he can give you more than what you want. Didn’t have time to communicate more to other instructors but thank you Morgan for being so friendly and sweet.
Would love to come back in the future.

First time ever trying freedive and had equalization problem in my first session where I struggled to dive deeper than 3 meters after multiple repeated attempts.
Thankfully my instructor Michael was very reliable and helpful in this upsetting situation as I was also tight on time. To my surprise I ended up comfortably at 15 meters after just two more open water sessions with him and got my SSI level 1 certificate.
Michael is very knowledgeable and he is great at explaining and demonstrating everything step by step. He pointed out my issues every time in a very precise manner and gave very nuanced adjustments of exactly what I should focus on for the next attempt to which improved a bit by bit after every dive. I would come back to him and do my level 2 and would recommend to anyone wanting to try and also those who are at a plateau.

Hi Lee, the water temp at the end of december is around 24 degrees, so both a 3mm or 5mm wetsuit will be ok. if you dont have your equipment, or you dont have a wetsuit suitable for this temperature, you can borrow from our center :)

Hello Lama, a beginner course is only 2 days long and cost 205 euro
Even better, you can do it in combination with more training and accommodation, during our combo weeks.

hi there, nothing ever happened in Dahab and we always felt safe living here.
the local people are very peaceful in these areas and they would never dream of hurting tourists as this is how they make a living, as no tourists means not being able to feed their families.
