Once to twice a year my husband and I drive from South TX to Ouray, CO. We drive by Echo Amphitheater almost every time...going and coming. Seldom will we just drive by; it's too great of a spot. The parking lot is nice and big (and usually more empty than full), and with their trash cans it's a great place... More

We were on our way to Chama and stopped off with the kids. You pay a couple of dollars to enter. This was a really cool spot to see. The kids loved singing and hearing the echoes. There is a spot to picnic, and the restrooms are very clean. If you're driving through the area, it's definitely worth a visit.

This beautiful and spiritual place is at the northern end of Georgia O'Keefe Country and just a few miles north of Ghost Ranch. The beautiful colors of this place can be seen from many miles away including the Abiquiu Reservoir. When I was there, there was only one other couple and not one of us clapped or tried to create... Friends and I took the trip to see the amphitheater & to play our indian flutes, drum & rattle. Acoustics were great &gathered a good crowd a few times... very beautiful area &even in July not hot! Without a pass there is a small fee to enter but worth the stop.

We were on our way home from Colorado and stopped here to take photos and stretch our legs. You pay a $2 fee to drive in. The bathrooms were clean. The trail up to the amphitheater was paved. We saw several lizards on our walk. Really cool echoing. One of the girls in our group sang and it sounded so... More

This is a spectacularly beautiful place. Multi-colored rock formations framed by high Desert growth and a great view of Perdenal. My 5 year old grandson particularly liked the echo. Bring your camera for some fantastic pictures.

With traveling from Santa Fe to Pagosa Springs Colorado you cannot miss this fantastic natural wonders. And amphitheater created for many years of water flow that will impress anyone. The echo and the sound resonance is incredible take lots of pictures. The rock formations around the area are very impressive and well worth a stop.

This place was quite amazing to look at, and we didn't plan on this being a stop but we decided to stop by on the way back. The trails and bathrooms are well maintained. The fee to park took us by surprise but still worth seeing.
