No wonder so many films were shot here. The scenery is fantastic and the views once you climb up to the top of the Chimney Rock Trail are amazing. A private ranch with a $5 per person fee (kids under 12 were free when we went). There are also other tours for larger fees taking you movie scene spots or... More

My husband and I decided to see a bit of New Mexico's countryside, so we trekked out to Ghost Ranch during our trip to Santa Fe. We had an incredible time hiking and exploring at Ghost Ranch, but the trails are not for the faint of heart. We had our 6 month old and 2.5 year old, and we hiked... More

The scenery at Ghost Ranch is awesome and it has some good hiking trails (though they are not always well marked)

Visited in July, 2016. Well worth the hour and 15 minute drive from Santa Fe. I instantly felt a spiritual connection to the place. It is so beautiful there, and so much history attached to it. This place needs to be on everyone's "must see" list. I can't wait to visit it again!

We arrived fairly late in the afternoon and hiked through the most gorgeous landscape you could ever imagine. However, the trail markers were missing when we got to the top of the highest peak on our trail. We tried to find our way back and failed several times. As lightning and drizzle commenced panic set it. We got through to... More

We went hoping to see Georgia O'Keefes home. Unfortunately it was closed this day. Ghost Ranch is a beautiful, peaceful p,ace. If you are able to hike, I recommend you do so. The museums were fun. The area is beautiful and you need to get off-road to explore!

Thank you for your review of Ghost Ranch. I am pleased to hear you had the opportunity to hike and visit our musueums. Did you know the state fossil of NM was discovered right here at Ghost Ranch. One of our museums has an extensive history of that discovery and we also offer a tour to view the area where... More

Amazing history to this ranch beyond Georgia O'Keefe. Horseback ride takes riders through this ranch and shows the sites she painted over and over during her lifetime of spending summers here. Our guide gave us a great history of the ranch and life in this region. Must do this tour. Book in advance!

This site may have been better if We had been able to tour the home of Georgia O'Keefe and the surrounding landscape. They have tours that one can schedule online. They also have horse riding tours which would be the best way to see the beauty that Georgia Okeefe had interpreted in her paintings. The small tour and history of... More

Thank you for your review of Ghost Ranch. Our O'Keeffe tours are among our most popular and they do provide further insight into the history of the Ranch and why Ms. O'Keeffe chose to call the Ranch home for many years. Our horseback tours are also a great way to see the Ranch and I thank you for your feedback.... More
