Royal experience at a lively palace
Taj Falaknuma make you feel right at home. The best thing about it was that it's a living palace. It was not off limits. You can touch, feel and experience the palace as you're a guest of the palace. The staff was excellent. I would like to shout out some - Bipasha at the front desk. The staff at the Celeste and Aada were excellent. Vishal was a gregarious person and really enjoy what he is doing. There are so many of them. Like Subhash knows what you expect from housekeeping. Totally it was a Royal experience at a lively palace.

A truly opulent experience in Hyderabad
This is a beautiful palace with so much history and immaculately maintained by Taj. The rooms and suites have an old world opulence thats hard describe. The whole experience puts you into a fantasy world. Brensley Souza made our stay even more amazing by going out of his way to ensure that all our needs were met. He even helped with our flight tickets and reservations at another Taj property as we had a last minute change in plans. Thank you Brensley for all your care and help its people like you who make us keep returning to Taj Hotels!!

    Excellent hospitality
It has been an absolute pleasure to experience the Taj Falaknama hospitality. The staff has excelled themselves from room services to restaurant. Special mention to Mounika, Lakshmi, Shreya and Supriya for exceptional care for the guests and in-room needs. They have gone out of their way to keep us comfortable. They organised an in-room spa service as my mother had feet problems. Special mention to Shubham Das, manager Nasir, Pritha at the restaurant for kindly attending us at all times for all meals. Everyone was very very hospitable and attentive. It is an exquisite property to spend a serene and peaceful stay. There is plenty to do at the hotel to keep busy for few days in a delightful way. We visited twice within a year simply for the wonderful warmth experienced. Keep up the great work team!!

Enjoyed the most amazing view of Hyderabad from the ‘Jade Room’ with twinkling stars in the Sky touching the ground. Soulful music of live Sufi songs makes the place reminisce the days of Nizam. The historical tour of the palace is enlightening along with an sumptuous meal of different courses. The staff are warm and helpful. The Grandeur and ambience of the palace is perfect for special occasions.

Conceded that this is not a specially abled friendly place with no ramps and lifts in sight. But this is an old palace with the zillion steps from floor 0 to floor 1 and of course a horse carriage ride from main entrance to porch. Every room smells of history in its lush and princely aura. Service is genuinely reflective of the period and food is to die for. Overall this place is amazing and is a bucket list item for anyone visiting Hyderabad.

I am sure what I have to say about this beautiful hotel is no different than what has been said before. The outstanding service by all the staff, the warm welcome provided from the first gate, and all the thoughtful gestures provided throughout our stay. I would like to thank Mr Nasir the restaurant manager who made sure we enjoyed our meals, provided suggestions to help us better enjoy the local cuisines, and followed through with all our requests.
We loved the informative palace tour by the in-house historian, the beautiful live music in the evenings, and appreciated how clean, quiet and fragrant everything was. We really appreciated that the staff offered to escort you around the premise if you are not sure of the way, since this is quite a large property. Taj service as always, is wonderful.
I definitely recommend the hotel to everyone.

We had planned to do a lunch cum sun downer at the property, which generally costs around 15,000 per person combined.
So we got ready and had travelled via uber for more then an hour and fifteen minutes just to know that only if we have a reservation at the property are we allowed to dine at any of their properties. So all those planning to go there please keep in mind. Apart from my experience above it is a must visit for the elegance and royalty it throws from every corner of the property

Built in 1893, owned by Nizam of Hyderabad and now the Taj group, a heritage hotel. Ypou walk down history, with a royal treatmengt the moment you walk in. Located on a hillock, 2000 feet above sea level, you can have a grand view of Hyderabad. The staff are extremely courteous. One must book in advance, with 50% advance payment for dining. There are 2 main restaurants, Ada (Indian) and Celeste (Italian). A one hour tour of the palace is conducted by the staff of the hotel, explaining the history of the palace and all the rooms in the palace. No doubt the dinner is expensive (almost Rs 7000 per person including taxes for a 4 course menu), but its worth it, along with the tour that you get. Its a memory that you will cherish forever. The staff in Ada, where we had dinner was excellent, courteous and helpful. They go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable. Hats off to the Tata group for reviving this unused palace since 2010.

Sadly, I didn’t read the reviews properly and did not make a booking. Same thing happened to me: got all excited. Took a car down to visit the palace and was planning to have dinner there but alas- they turned us away at the gate. Refusing to even let us in to find an alternative location.

1. You need to make reservations at either restaurant and have confirmations - otherwise, they will turn you away.
2. The palace is a must see. I’ve not been and couldn’t go but most who visited have left raving reviews.
3. It’s quite far away- so plan your time and check the availability for lunch or high tea or dinner.

We've been to the Falaknuma several times, for overnights and work events. The Falaknuma never fails to impress and inspire. It's such an escape from the city, the staff are always so thoughtful, the spa is fabulous, we adore the breakfasts, and have always really enjoyed the dinners as well.

We were 5 couples all between 60-70 years . It rained throughout but the rooms were comfortable and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable . It would be helpful if the lighting was improved in the outdoor areas and the lobby. Also a well defined walking track would be an asset as they own property of 300 acres but the staff were clueless about where I could take my morning walk for an hour!

The palace tour is a good to do once. It is a beautiful palace. If you are lucky you might even get a glimpse of some movie shooting from distace. Food is definitely good. Chef took care of my request for pregnancy friendly food. The food did taste good. Will I pay Rs.5000 for the food there..... hmmm, I will explore Jewels of Nizam first and then decide. :)
