Probably, its the best man-made lake in India. Walk and stroll in the morning and evening rejuvenates a person and its thronged by large number of morning walkers. It has nice boating facilities and cafeteria to enjoy snacks and food. Its a well managed place.

One of the better places to visit to spend some time with family. We didn't try out the food around the place, thought it was not risky.

While Chandigarh is not (yet) as busy and polluted as other Indian cities, the lake and lake complex provide a pleasant break. Unlike often discussed lakes elsewhere in India (for example, Udaipur), Chandigarh’s lake is usually filled with water and is unpolluted.

Leisure evening walk did wonders. Worth a long walk after a long days work. Has a jogging path, walk along the waterfront or walk under the tree shade... A must do

No entry-fee to the lake-side. Boat-ride charges vary for type and size of boat; very reasonable.
