The Lake is huge but not deep, so you can get around on flat-bottomed boats. An amazing variety of birds can be seen in and around the site. There's an Island over there and some local women serve some awesome Kathiwaad Food there itself. You can have a full meal for Rs 150 pp. Got the boat rides at the... More

This place is just 65 Km from Ahmadabad and very well connected by the road. Hence it was at least a good morning drive. As soon as you reach the place, you would be surrounded by touts quoting some crazy rate for the 'special package'. It was not worth at least in the monsoon season. I might once again give... More

This is almost 1 hour drive from Ahmedabad, but it is worth the pain. You get to see variety of water birds, specially in winters seasons. You need to hire boats but do negotiate with them..... take food and water items with you as you will be sitting long in a boat.

We reached at early morning 6 am. It is 60 km drive from Ahmedabad. We took a privet boat and move around the lake. It was very nice experience. We also took a halt at small island at the middle of the lake and enjoyed local food like bengan bhartha and bajre ki roti. There is not much to do... More

You need to sit in a boat and move around this shallow lake to see the birds. By soending 2 hours in the lake, we saw many beautiful birds including... More
