Firstly, don't compare the LRK with GRK both are totally different places with beauty of their own. I visited this place for its rich biodiversity, being a birder I saw many owls and eagles and other raptors along with foxes and Asiatic Khur. Its a...More

As others have stated, this place is so worth the visit. You will see wildass, Nilgai, and birds galore. I loved the openness of this place with the beautiful cracked clay earth underfoot and the wide openness of the sky above. Impressive!

IT's flat, very flat and the horizon is a the other side of the mirage but it is truly amazing. The flamingos alone are worth the journey especially if you see them as we did in flight. The wild life is just phenomenal, everywhere you...More

There are several camps near LRK - Kidi, Dasada, Bajana, Zainabad. Google search or check Lonely Planet guide. I believe Ahmedabad is the nearest airport - about 3 hours on the road to get here.

Hello, We are planning to visit this place by month end(feb'17). We will be reaching there by 9AM by our own car. We wanted to go in desert to see the salt plains. Please clarify the following doubts. Is there any forest office present at this area? And about entry tickets if any. Can we take our own vehicle inside? Or any contact details for jeep safari..
