Nice stepwell within city but seems neglected. Locals come here fro smoking, playing etc. Architecture of stepwell is superb and must be 5-6 floors deep. Stairs to pick up water and water removal mechanism is also interesting. Must maintain this heritage from 16th century.

This could have been a great tourist attraction, but has been wasted and neglected completely. Hope the authorities wake up and maintain the place better

The carvings are real beautiful. Wish government had maintained it. The steps of well are uncoutable. It is just beauty and marvel of art. It has even a mosque inside

I love and reap heritage structures. It's important to have such valuables in life. It's important to care such as it needs to be long last till centuries to come.

Asarva is unremarkable district of Ahmedabad, though, in fact it is adjacent to the historic center of the city. I was faced with the fact that no one on the street could point the direction to this step well. Now I know that the best...More
