It is located in the hustle and bustle of the Old city of Ahmedabad. The entrance is so regular that you wouldn't expect such a vast and beautiful space inside. My favorite is large the calligraphy on the walls. Highly recommend being fuly covered- Boys in shorts are not allowed in!

The Mosque is not terribly big so you can see it in an hour or less. But the carvings and the history are interesting. Also, don't wear shorts or they won't let you in.

The main minarates have so many interesting details. Flanking the mosques on three sides is a covered colonnade, with huge calligraphy letters. we went in the afternoon, where it was relatively quite. Please be... More

I did not know Ahmedabad had soo much heritage. I visited for some business in the city and then was told about the old city. It is truly a masterpiece and I hope to visit next time just to see the heritage of Ahmedabad.
