The place serves as a nice weekend gateway for family picnic during winters in Delhi-NCR. With about 20 kms from Gurgaon, it holds a number of exotic migratory birds in abundance. A binocular with a good zoom (>30x) camera is a must, however not extremely necessary. It has a decent restaurant and a large park to enjoy family picnic. You... More

A mere 1 hour drive from central New Delhi, following the directions of our GPS/mapping app, we arrived at Sultanpur National park. We arrived about 8am, there were already some cars there as well as vendors of hot sweet potatoes for breakfast. Foreigner entry fee a mere Rs 40 ($1). There is an initial picnic area with lawns but most... More

Don't believe the crap reviews below, we went here on New Years day, got in early and the place was PACKED with birds. Weather was perfect and we enjoyed a great morning nature walk. Bring your binoculars (and camera)... Bird lovers will freak out! It gets crowded in the afternoon and it's less fun to walk around in the heat...... More

It is paradise for bird watchers BUT reaching there is tough. Good thing is that it is very nice to walk around and can see the lake.

Visited with family. Best piece is that government has not tinkered with the natural environment. So many birds and their variety is amazing. Do not forget to take binoculars and telescopic camera as basic cameras are useless

We went there on a sunny December Sunday and had a much needed break from the cacophony of city. It's a pleasant 1.30 minutes drive from Delhi and route apart from few patches is smooth. We were a group of 4 families with kids under 10 years. Tickets are easily available and are dirt cheap considering the times we live... More

Good place.. We went for a picnic over there. Though foods are not allowed inside the park but they have a small park for picnic with outside food.Good greenery with chirp of birds. The natural wild feeling is still remain with unpaved roads and lots of trees.Good place to spent your weekend. Birds are sighted.

One of the very few natural good things about Gurgaon. A pleasure to watch birds lost in their own world. Their chirp brings back your childhood memories.

Sultanpur National Park is not a place if you are planning to visit a "National park" hehe.....It's just a picnic spot..Even if you are carrying a good DSLR then also you won't able to see any bird.. Just trees are all around & small ponds...Couple of machaans are there from where you can have a view of bird sanctuary...Bharatpur Bird... More

We visited this at the beginning of the year. The place is shabby and terribly maintained. We were hardly able to see any birds. It was a huge disappointment and the crowd too was not very nice. I would not recommend going here. The inside of the park is not paved and one has to walk through mud so make... More
