Sometimes Authorities have to create such things to increase Tourism. This place is situated as you exit leh and head towards kargil on srinagar leh Highway. Well it's just a myth that such phenomenon ever existed here.

The hill itself was neat to see as it's an optical illusion that makes it appear that you are going up a hill while the car is in neutral. I was skeptical about this but it definitely works! Not sure I would pay for this but we went after season so it was free

Stop your car on the yellow mark on the Magnetic hill road to realize the effect precisely. Pull the gear to neutral and leave your car to see it moving towards the Magnetic hill breaking the laws of gravitation. This is an amazing experience. The landscape is mesmerizing and the road is well maintained. The backdrop mountains are just picture... More

It is said that the car goes uphill on zero gear, which is difficult to believe. Personally we did not think so as the inclination is difficult to judge in those terrains. But the mountains right there are beautiful, must go for bikers

Magnetic hill of a magic of nature which gives you a unusual feeling. It defies the principles of science when your vehicle is pulled uphill while in neutral or at state of halt. No only for elders it is an attraction for children too. It is in mid way from Leh to Nimu.

Firstly the view from the magnetic hill is really stunning. U anyways would stop and enjoy the place. The mountains look really giant and gives u a feeling of enclosure from all sides. Beautiful road landscape. How this bill works: you stop before the uphill and put car in neutral. You will see the car moving automatically and climbing the... More

Just visit it because its on the way, no use going all the way just for this place. I enjoyed the bike ride on the highway more.

Saw many reviews claiming the phenomenon to be a mere sham but I couldn't believe my eyes !! The road was indeed straight ..!! The car was speeding at around 15 kmph even after applying resistance! Tried even in reverse gear and the car was moving in reverse as well

Did not experience it. Tried a lot of time with my bike but nup no effect. Works with cars i guess. But the place is on a incline, so if a car moves, you wont be sure if its due to gravity or this.
