The difference in colours of the waters of the two merging rivers is really interesting to see. The view of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking to say the least. The drive is good with scenic views.

This is where the Sindhu meets the Zanskar to form the mighty Indus river. Magnificent mountainscapes frame the rivers with Zanskar's waters blue in colour and Sindhus greenish in hue. This place is on the Chadar trekking trail much of which is now a metalled road. Enjoyed walking on the frozen Zanskar!

Its a place where 2 rivers meet and one can get the best view of contrasting colors of 2 rivers from the road above(while coming from leh). Lies just ahead of magnetic hill, the place is beautiful with special mention to the jaw dropping landscape that surround this confluence point. Rafting is also available here.

One of my most Scenic place I have ever seen , you could stop on the left side of the road once you are able to see the Confluence point. There is a stretch of the barricade that has been removed here so you can enjoy the view without anything interrupting it. Make sure you park ur bike or car... More

The confluence of the river offers a beauty that will leave travelers glued to the place. I don't know about the summer months, but I was there in January (after 3 days of continuous snow) and it was a treat to watch the beauty of the confluence.

Zanskar and Indus river can be seen to merge at a place called Nimmoo. It is situated at around 40kms from the Leh town on the way to Chilling.
