I would start saying that the Shiva Statue is really great. It is a 3 storey height statue & nicely built. But the place is too much commercialized including entry tickets, there are miniatures being made for various devotional places across India. But one gets a good feeling while standing infront of the statue.

The statue is quite nice but really this temple is a money spinner for whoever runs it. We were asked multiple times for money and an entrance fee was charged which I don't agree with considering it is a place of worship. If you have time to spare it's ok but I wouldn't recommend if you have limited time.

There is a lot of room for mistakes here. Many ritual actions that require guidance (like washing feet, pouring milk over a lingam, knowing what to touch and what not to touch, etc). Since it's not in the guidebooks, you will need to get someone to take you. It's a modern temple, that puts you through a whole process of... More

All business and intentional attempt to sell you tickets for anything and everything. I have been visiting this place since 2008 or so. Every time I found it becoming "simplu business".

Loved the experience of visiting this temple. First impression is not great, having to duck into tunnels, but once you get out in the open: wow! Absolutely great temple to visit, especially with kids.

nice and large statue of Lord Shiva.... if you are afraid of close environment then avoid going to all the tunnels as they are very narrow. you will have to atleast go through one tunnel in order to do Darshan of the Shiva Idol. They have tried to replicate the amaranth darshan and caves ... but they are very narrow.

I liked this temple for beeing a peaceful place in the city. The main attraction is the big shiva statue, else there is not much to see in typical temple architecture. It is a small place but you can calm down and find peace for meditation or some prayers. The priests offer blessings and Prasadam if you would like to... More

This is located in Murugeshpalya on the old airport road. There is a big statue of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha here. Great to see the Lord. There is too much commercialization here. You need to buy tickets to access the healing pond ... tickets needed to put any offering in the pond. Tickets are required to see the miniatures... More

A place I have been going to for over a decade - peaceful - I love going there to calm my thoughts and to connect with myself. There are crowds, and sometimes there aren't - mostly things are well organized. Sometimes there is too much payment and money involved, but that is inevitable so whether it's a special ceremony, or... More
