worth climbing

Make sure you have enough stamina to climb 436 stairs. There are no rails for support, only have to balance yourself. Having said that, it is not that difficult.

The vivid feeling of true adventure which characterises a journey owed it's origin to this place in our part of travel. Surrounded by lush green pastures, the narrow road travel to the high peak was a extraordinary one. We indeed danced to the beats played by our heart. It was a memorable experience.

Amazing mountain peak. When we visited, it was covered in fog. On the peak point, the wind was absolutely chilling and it was tough to stay put without shivering. But the view from the top is worth the effort. Maybe not the best spot for families with kids or with senior people who may not be able to climb uphill.... More

It is a must visit place if you are in Chikamagluru. we went there before sunrise to catch a glimpse of sunrise. It is quite windy and also can get chilly. So definitely take a jacket along. The road is treacherous specially the last 3-4kms. People who are new to driving in mountains might get goosebumps :) But the drive... More

The temple on the top of the hill is the main attraction. 6300 Ft above the sea level. The road to the foot hill is a little scary. But, if you are used to that kind of driving then you got a great drive for yourself. You might want to carry water and a lot of stamina with you before... More

As compared to lot of other tourist places I visited near Chickmagluru, this one was the best. Apparently, it is the highest mountain peak in Karnataka. The winding roads that lead to the point from where one has to climb, is absolutely breath taking. The roads are not the best but the work of laying down the roads is currently... More

We spend 2 days over there with lots of fun... Riding off-road, trekking, etc. A beautiful place to spend away from the hectic city life... detached from everything... Great experience

The highest peak in Karnataka and must visit when in Chikmagaluru. This is ideal only for nature walk lovers plus who love good views but other than that there is nothing much to see. For common man,if climbing around 500 steps to have a good scenic view from peak plus visit to temple is feasible, then do it. You cam... More
