Idukki dam is the biggest dam in asia.It is situvated between kuruvanmala and kurathimala mountains.The location and dam structure is very nice .

Last month I visited idukki dam I feel the location and dam structure is very nice compare to other dams this is arch based other everyone is straight and normal. Only problem is some particular days visitors is allowed otherwise every thing is superb.

This dam is constructed between two hills - full credit goes to architects who designed and executed in a smooth way. Had a walk over the dam and witness the beauty of the reservoir and nature - mesmerising. No photo sessions.

Friends.. very beautiful and well planned by our enginners... you need to walk atleast 2 Km over the dam to reach another portion of dam. You should go and see the second portion as you will come across a cave which is very exciting.. cameras...More

ofcource, idukki dam has variety way to attract visitors, the dam opens on almost all days, if theres no emergency or events which cannot allow bystanders

the dam.is open to visitors only on Sunday I think
