A monument to visit, to understand part history part travelogue. The church is a declared archaeological monument. Vasco da Gama's mortal remains are supposed to be buried here. Quiet and serene place

Small eateries in the square, We bought seafood from the fish market there and took it to one of them to cook. The one we used charged us 300 rupees. The beach is closeby. There is also a promenade.

The Vasco Da Gama Square is a unique place, located centrally at Mantancherry, is close by to many tourist attractions. It has a flea market, restaurants, beach walk way etc. Ideal for shopping stuff related to kerala heritage.
