I visited the church during Christmas festival and attended the mass. It was decorated beatifully. Must see.

The early Portugese explorers including the famous Vasco de Gama, settled in Kochi and erected a beautiful church. It symbolizes the foundation of their permanent settlement which lasted for about a hundred years till Indian Independance in 1947. This church is still in very good...More

It felt a little run down, nothing I saw indicated it had much history as it was lead to believe online. Seen much more historical churches so I guess to me it was a bit mediocre.

The Influence of the Dutch people to be seen in this church! Not to be missed! From there you can do nice strolls into Old Kochi!

Beautiful old fans used to keep the congregation cool by the punkawallahs of old. Tiles imported from London and an upside down keel roof made by ship builders. Vasco da Gama was buried here until his son made the trip over to collect his remains...More

This place has a great historical importance in the Indian history. It is where Vasco da Gama was buried. A must visit place for every history buff.
