The lighthouse is 40mts in height with around 11 floors, and is around 13kms from the Varkala beach area, but is worth paying a visit. The view from the top of the lighthouse is awe inspiring.

Nice lighthouse in good condition. Great view from the top over a sea of palm trees and the actual sea. It's right next to Anjengo fort - good to combine both.

It is also a must watch location while we visit varkala.Its pretty high and so it offers a great view of varkala at its top

This place is few kilometers away from the main Varkala township. There is a ticket system to get entry inside the light house. There are approximately 200 stairs. But the effort is really worth it. The view from the top is amazing. At one side you can see the beautiful sea and on the other side there is a beautiful... More

We rented a motorbike for the day to explore Varkala and stumbled across the lighthouse which is open to visitors 3pm - 5pm and cost 25 rupees per person to enter and an extra 20 rupees for each photo/recording device. climbing the 189 stairs is fun, but even more so is exciting to the outside once you have reached the top of the light house. On a windy day, holding on is advisable. It is lovely to be above the birds and get a good view of the area.

Recommended !!! Even though u have to climb the large spiral stairs, its really worth with the view u r about to witness..

Anjengo lighthouse is a magical place, you can see the magnificient kerala landscape from the top. Incredible!!!
