This waterfalls is situated very close to the city Center of Chiplun on Mumbai Goa highway. Though the falls is visible from road it's best to walk Upto the base of falls. There are steps Upto the falls. Water falls from around 250 feet and many people take bath under small stream , even downstream also there are places for bathing. It's spectacular and worth visiting once if you happen to be in Chiplun

If you are travelling by this place in Monsoon, it's the best to view. It is quite close to NH17 .. bang opposite a bend on the road in Parsuram Ghat section.

We were group of friends travelling from Mumbai to Goa and took a night halt at chiplun.. Although the falls were not in our itinerary, but you never know what future has in store for you....
What's Good......early in the morning few locals told us about the waterfall, while half of us were eager to go another few were in a hurry to reach Goa.....
The location was only two kms away from our hotel Reemz , we had to walk around 250 metres to reach the spot and were stunned with the amazing beauty of the surroundings.
The fall was almost pristine with hardly any habitant around, nature at it's best.
Few of us took the shower and spend an hour praising the great natural bliss.
Conclusion.......by God's grace we were blessed with such a natural beauty along with the company of school friends.
Be alert as there is a danger of rock falling from height while you are taking shower.

I pass this 2 times a day whilst I am working here. Have to see it after heavy rains during monsoon. Clear water like you have never seen.
Corn barbecued like you've never tasted. 20rps for a cob that is incredible size. covered with lemon juice and chilli pdr!
got soaked with the spray. truly enjoyable.
Sunday and Mondays packed as it is weekend in Chiplun,

Sawatsada waterfall is located near to the Parashuram temple in Chiplun in Mumbai Goa highway. It is an amazing place to be in monsoons with drizzle, heavy water flow in the waterfall with greenery all around. The waterfall is white in colour, its rippling sound and gushing scene make it a delight for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike. Even if you may have to cut down on your visit to a few other places, spending time at Sawatsada ensures you have a great time feeling rejuvenated.
