On a bike, in a cab or driving a car, crossing the ghats always lifts the spirits. The roads are great. The scenery unparalleled. And the fact that they hold the promise of the destination just adds to the appeal. My favourites are the Mulshi-Tamhini and Bhor-Mahad routes.
