Disappointing…. Overpriced…not worth the money. I went to the osho ashram after visiting osho inspired places like pachamama in Costa Rica and ÄNgsbacka in Sweden and was very disappointed. There seems to be no life left in the place… the staff are rude and the place serves over priced poor quality food… downscale rooms etc for a quite inflated price. The pool for example is green and full of muck, the “meditations” consist of them playing a video explanation and then leaving the room. I’ve been at parties at old folks homes that were more fun. The staff seem rude and lifeless and there seems no reason for the place to exist except for the Indian owners to try to extract every penny they can from you. I’m sure it was a cool place when osho was alive… but now it’s devoid of life … don’t waste your time or money. There is no spirit left to the place. It seems to be lightly populated and experiencing financial woes. Considering how it is being run, I’m not surprised.

I stayed inside the Resort for one month and I did Mystic Rose for 21 days as part of my stay. This was my 3rd visit to Resort from Australia. This is the place for life transformation. Previously I only stayed 1 week each time, but this time I decided to stay longer. I enjoyed each and every moment of my 1 month stay. Apart from Mystic Rose, I enjoyed all the regular meditations, like Dynamic in morning, Kundalini in evening and white rob evening meeting is always wonderful, so many people dancing or sitting silently in white robs, it always feel so pure or other worldly.
This is an oasis with lush green trees and bamboos. It feels like all the trees and plants are also doing meditation and celebration with us. This is very safe place for inner growth, where one can be totally venerable and also have it's own space to process any deep emotions or feelings. One highlight for me, the sense of celebration there 24/7. I also enjoy meeting people from all over the world from different walks of life. I guess it is hard to put the real experience in words. Osho resort is like a womb for my inner growth.

I come every year to meditate the beautiful gardens the quality of the meditations support me to find the moments where I can just be. There is no religion or dogma, it is a modern place so are the mediation techniques, this is what the world needs more. In this place I found mediation and celebration both happening together. I wish there could be places like this around the globe.

Dear Friend,
It is wonderful to welcome you each year! The OSHO International meditation resort is truly a meeting place of old and new friends, a place where we meditate and celebrate together and then can return to our homes with batteries charged.
We look forward to seeing you soon again!

To all my fellow sanyasi and friends. I always stayed in Sunderbun hotel right adjacent to the commune. One or two months at a time. And I love that place. My fellow sanyasi friends insisted that I try zen living and this time I tried it. It is absolutely amazing. There is no “vibe leakage”. You pick up in the morning exactly where you left it the night before. Whenever I stay outside of commune , it takes at least a couple of hours and a few active meditation to get back on the track. I just wanted to share my experience. Huge difference. Strongly recommend it. Zen living is the way to go.

At the beginning I was sceptical because of some reviews here. But the experience I got is wonderful.
Visiting for one day during trip to Pune and already planning a trip to OSHO for 2 weeks at least.
People are very friendly here, meditations are wonderful, they explain you everything on for to meditate and how to move. I am speechless :)

I was booked in for 3 days. I decided after completing the morning welcome session not to return on principle.
Osho shame on you! As part of the welcome process after the taster meditation centre they identify all the Males that are brown in colour and before they get given their passes they have to listen to a 'pep talk' on how to respect the opposite sex and not to get too excited in the evening party sessions and whistle at the opposite sex.
On the other hand our white European male colleagues were given their passes without such humiliating process.
Osho Mediatation Centre listen to this feedback and change your policy.
In most white western societies this is called RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. And is an illegal practice.
If you are an ethical organisation you should not be offending your customers in this way.
Also if India has been good enough to allow you to set up in their country, you should extend respect to their citizens.
My conclusion would be whether your are Black, White, Brown or Green, you should apply the same principles.
Include how to treat females for ALL NATIONALITIES! As part of your welcome video.
Until than I would say to ALL citizens in India 'vote with your feet' in the same way Ganhi did under the British rule...
That is the only way they will listen. Stop disrespecting your Indian citizens and Non Resident Indians it is insulting.
Kind Regards

Had a very disappointing experience at Osho meditation center, upon arrival at reception we where asked where we were from and if we knew anything about OSHO. I am from Australia and my friend from Pune, she then got on the phone and asked Halle to speak to someone on the other end. He was told he needed to go to OSHO shop purchase a book about OSHO and read about his teachings and come back in 10 days and they would question him about what he had read and then maybe consider to weather he can or cannot enter the center. To my horror I and all foreigners do not require to do this they just pay a membership fee and in they go. This blatant discrimination was against my principles so we left with joining this racists establishment. If you are planning to go I would strongly reconsider, this is my friends country and his family has been here for many many generations, how dare foreigners come in and decide who can attend these meditation sessions.

I found this place rather weird, bizarre and strange.
I decided to go along to the resort for a day of meditation, and was really looking forward to it, and so went to reception at around 10AM only to be told that I should have arrived for the introduction session at 09:30. I did not know this, despite speaking to reception the day before. So they said that it would be fine, and that if I came back I would have to do it again. No problem, so now to the cost, 1500 rupees for the registration, 1700 Rupees for the day of meditation and 2000 Rupees for the two robes that have to be worn. I was told to go over to the financial desk and took out my credit card, only to be told that they don’t accept credit cards at all. They only deal in cash, although bizarrely enough you can’t use any cash inside as you have to pre-purchase cards with amounts on them that can be redeemed throughout the day. So I had to go off to a cashpoint to get the cash. Then it was the mandatory HIV test, which I thought a bit odd. So I had to pay for the two robes and then go across the road to get them from the shop. Whilst at the shop they told me that I had to put everything in a locker, but I hadn’t paid enough for a locker and so had to go back to reception to pay for another money card with enough stamps to buy the lock and rent the locker – back to the shop again and put my clothes into the locker. Then the shopkeeper said don’t put anything valuable in it!
After all of this, then I was taken to the information centre where I had to listen to a 15 minute recording about the place, and the rules. In all it took me one and a half hours to get through it all, and so at 11:30 I was ready for my first session…
It was a meditation focused around laughing. We walked into the main auditorium and sat on the floor and when the gong went everyone started laughing – for 15 minutes! It felt a bit weird to me, but I had a go and kept laughing as required – although kept thinking that I was in a rather strange place.
The next session was cancelled for no reason. Nobody told us and when a lady complained, they didn't seem to care.
The third session was based around shaking for 15 minutes, then dancing, then laying on the marble floor for 30 minutes.
The evening session required the white robe to be worn, and it involved more dancing. Then there was a video of the guru (who died several years ago), giving a talk about his views on things. I cannot write what he spoke about because I'm not allowed, and I found the video distasteful.
I decided to leave at the end of the video and not hang around for more dancing, and this seemed to annoy some of the staff, and I was informed that I would not be able to return.
My original review of this place was not allowed to be published, and so I do not want to write much more, as I've rather write something acceptable, than nothing at all. I will end by stating that I would not recommend this place at all, and found it a very uncomfortable experience and wish I had gone to a different meditation centre.
I suggest that you research this place in advance, and find out more about this organisation before you decide to go, and wish I'd done so too.

Putting a price tag on Meditation and spirituality defeats the whole purpose altogether. Ashrams are supposed to be places where people go to seek peace but Osho is nothing more than a well marketed business which sells inner peace out in the open. Guess why they created the "sex ashram" tag ! How else would they get known ? There are so many amazing ashrams in India which do not charge a single penny and are run by genuine people who do not care about marketing their place to tourists. Spirituality has no price and no color.

Hi, i told that one cant visit the asram nowadays. You need to enrol yourself for a course.
Written August 5, 2016
I don't think that's the case unless they have changed the rules in the last month. I haven't attended any course in the last 6 visits/years I have been there. But perhaps there are different rules for Indians. I doubt it very much so.
However, the first day (morning) of your first visit you have to attend the welcome i.e. orientation "course" (whole morning). This is actually quite a nice session.
