    Taste Odisha when visit Odisha
Mukteshwar temple is a magnificent architecture, and good for sightseeing. It won't take much time to see the temple. You can also know the information of mukteswara at Sun temple of Konark. There is a food court just beside the temple. Where you can taste variety and quality of famous dishes of Odisha. Sweets and snacks all at one place, we all loved the taste of sweets there, you must try local food here.

    Lovely architecture
This is a beautiful temple built in typical Odia design across a park. It is a very calm place without too many priests and one can spend some time just sitting quietly in the compound of the temple. There is a small rectangular pond besides the temple but am not sure how clean the water is.

    Fin Temple Complex
The Mukteshwara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located, dating to the 10th-century. The temple is a fine example for Kalinga architecture, but all compacted into a much smaller building. The temple has some unique features including the torana archway at the entrance and vimana tower. The archway stands about 10 metres from the entrance into the temple proper and is decorated with three heads, which show Buddhists influences in that each could easily be mistaken for the head of the Buddha. Around the arches are sculpted female spirits in repose seductively on either side of the central head at the apex. The Vimana has a square plan and is built over the sanctum in typical Kalinga architectural fashion. The four sides of the pyramidal roof are decorated with horizontal bands and sculptural figures. Figures include demons, dwarfs and sculptures to look out for, the Hindu god Shiva as the divine cosmic dancer.

This exquisite temple is a further evolution of the Odia style. The torana is beautifully proportioned in relation to the vimana and jagamohan behind. From the base carvings to the projecting makara-mukh at the arch there's no getting enough of it. It's temple too is beautiful and compact with well-preserved sculptures.

There are other interesting structures inside the complex. Sadly, though a protected ASI monument, important sculptures showing the evolution of the depiction of Ganesh are covered in cloth and thick paint.

The complex is in a walled enclosure, but access is free and not restricted. There are no guides available. Visiting as part of a heritage walk group might be better.

Thousand year old temple with a beautiful torana [gateway] marking the entrace is located close to the Lingaraj temple. The temple stands out as an exemplary work of architecture and is a must visit in Bhubaneshwar. The annual Mukteshwar Dance Festival is held every January in the temple premises.

This temple is a short walk across a park. The temple is neat and clean and also no corrupt priests so we can have peaceful prayer time. The arch around the entrance is a beautiful photo point. We also sat by the temple pond for some time soaking in the beauty and the sight of the beautiful fishes.
