A really fantastic fort on the hillside overlooking Jodhpur. There is some beautiful workmanship to be seen in this spectacular fort. Absolutely worth a visit.

We attended the above Sufi Music Festival which is held every year in February. What an experience. the surroundings within the Fort, the quality of artists from Rajasthan and other parts of the world, the performances altogether is mesmerizing.

By the time I had seen Mehrangarh I had already seen the Amber Fort and Agra fort and Red Fort in India. Each was very good. What made this one special was the setting on the hill overlooking the blue city. Everywhere you turned there were incredible views and the architecture was great. It is not overrun with tourists(at least... More
