The Memorial was dedicated in 1971 and was the first major Vietnam memorial in the United States. In 1987 Congress recognized the site as a memorial of national significance. Our visitor center features educational exhibits. The grounds are a peaceful and beautiful backdrop for the Chapel.

This is a beautiful memorial to the brave men and women who fought in Vietnam. A loving father's tribute to his son has turned into an amazing memorial for all who served. Don't miss this.

What a moving, beautiful place. We could have stayed there for hours. What a sacrifice so many have made for us. Plan on being in Red River next summer and visiting again. Thank you so much to all that have served so selfishly.

The Memorial has no entry fee, and is free to the public. It is administered as a New Mexico State Park, but is sustained by private donations. Well worth visiting, and if you feel moved to leave a little something to help... More
