The sunset here is awesome . The crocs in the lake are notorious as we once saw them eat up a yelping sambhar deer baby who had come to drink water . the mother deer was calling out to her but the baby was caught by one croc and in seconds several other crocs arrived and starting eating the baby.... One of the many attractions near the fort. It is rumoured to be the pool where the princess Padmavati would bathe and eventually where she committed suicide. Now in ruins and the water is moss infested. The architecture is splendid though

The lake is named in honour of princess Padmavati who committed sati here. This is a very good water source inside the national forest and if lucky you will be lucky to see variety of animals and birds and may be tigers and crocodiles.

You can see this pretty lake from the fort. There's also a road going up to it, and there's a govt. guest house that serves food/drinks to VIPs.
