We enjoyed Shashi's cooking class very much! She is a remarkable woman and so is her story. She taught us to cook several dishes and we enjoyed all of them. The class was very interesting and we learned a lot about spices, cooking curries, making bread and deserts. We all loved Shashi and her class. I do have enormous respect... More

We had a fantastic day with Shashi taking part in her cooking class. The class was very informative and we learnt how to make a huge variety of delicious Indian dishes. We were also provided with a collection of recipes to use when back home. I already can't wait to try them out! Shashi was brilliant - so friendly and... More

Spent yesterday evening with Shashi and her family being taught how to cook wonderful Indian dishes, everything from masala chai to parathas and paneer butter masala. We made over 12 items and each recipe was explained in simple terms and we were supplied copies of the recipes. Many other cookery classes have tried to copy Shashi, but hers are far... More

It was my first cooking class in India and I normally planned to do severals of it at different places. Shashi and her sons are great, very nice, friendly and helpful. She speaks very well English and knows most of the ingredients even in languages like German and Spanish!!! Even we've been a group of 7 participants, she was aware... More

Six of us booked with Shashi and arrived at 6.30pm up the narrow winding streets in tuk-tuks.. an experience in itself! So generous, caring and entertaining is Shashi and her son and daughter in law. I cook Indian food but I learned much more as Shashi shares tips and techniques that you just don't get in cookbooks. All up there... More

We took a five hour class with Shashi during the day. The group was relatively small with seven people and ended with six, as one person had a plane to catch. Since I'm not much of a cook, I was the one taking pictures and my partner was more hands on and helped making amazing dishes. The kitchen was inviting... More

Sashi and her son, Ashish, provided us with the most amazing experience of our trip to India. We spent 5 hours learning, cooking and eating delicious food. We loved meeting other travelers and spending an evening laughing and having a great time. I was so excited that Sashi also sells all the spices for me to bring home. I can't... More

Shashi is amazing, and so is this class. It was a group of 8 for an evening class on a Tuesday, and we were all very involved. The class ran for around 5 hours. We received a recipe booklet, and were very strongly encouraged to take notes and photos. We made a wide variety of dishes, and there was more... More

Highlight of trip, informative and fun. Learned a lot in a very friendly atmosphere. Couldn't persuade my husband to come along but he did arrive in time to enjoy eating it and said best food he had he. Lovely fresh ingredients and spices. Everything from chai to curries, breads and chutneys. You'll regret it if you don't give it a... More

We rang at short notice on a Sunday to see if we could attend Shashi's cooking class as we were flying out of Udaipur early the next day. Shashi's son Ashish agreed to run a special class for us - what terrific attitude to customers. Another couple joined us making the class size a very useful 4. The class covered... More
