Over the past 15 years, Sushma has been providing cooking classes to foreign guests who have travelled to India from all different parts of the world. If you sign up for one of her classes, you will enhance your knowledge of cuisine, develop your own cooking skills and indulge yourself in an unforgettable, traditional Rajasthani celebration of food under the guidance of this passionate and experienced teacher! Sushma’s love for cooking began at the young age of 10 while watching her grandmother cook traditional Indian meals for her family. After dipping into many spice jars and creating her own unique Indian dishes, Sushma quickly found her place in the kitchen. Sushma admits she truly is a lover of food and for this reason when she is in the kitchen, she appears as graceful and contented as a queen in her palace. She is most alive and vibrant when sharing the wealth of knowledge she has about food with others who have an appreciation for food.

Went here with my mom, one of our highlights during our stay in Udaipur. Sushma is a lovely person, she'll answer all your questions about any recipe and was open for my curious off-topic questions as well; we got a great insight into North Indian cuisine (and ways to adapt it to ones tastebuds, e.g. how to use less oil...).... As part of our discovery of Indian culture, we really wanted to learn how to cook Indian food so we looked for cooking classes in the places that were part of our North India tour. Sushma’s cooking class turned out to be one of the best experiences of our Indian trip. In a very relaxed atmosphere, we learnt how to... More

My wife and I spent a lovely afternoon in Sushma's cooking class. She has an extraordinary knack of making it look very easy and, of course, cooking delicious food, ably assisted by her daughter. And what added to the fun was sharing our afternoon with two lovely ladies from New York, Barbara and Karen, who were halfway through gallivanting around... More

Sushma's class was fabulous. Our family of four attended, hoping to pick up a few tips and tricks necessary to produce authentic Indian dishes. We weren't disappointed. Sushma has a warm and engaging style of communication which was appreciated by the participants in this workshop. The final dishes tasted incredible, and the class flew by, as each of us saw,... I had previously done a cooking class in south India so wanted to see what cooking is like in Rajasthan. This is a brilliant cooking class and will give you all the keys to capture North Indian cooking. The real joy is that you will taste all the things you've tried in restaurants but tasting much fresher, with less oil... More

Sushma was a lovely teacher. My girlfriend and I were in a class of 8 and had a lot of fun learning how to cook different curries, chai and Indian breads. Sushma was very helpful with answering questions and going over everything thoroughly. We also had a very delicious dinner at the end.

Tasty food and easy to follow recipes! The cook and her daughter were lovely and very knowledgeable. This class is perfect if you want to learn the foundation of Indian cooking! The small group was also good as we could take turns helping and ask as many questions as we liked. The cook was very happy to accommodate for my... More
