Very nice temoke

This is i think very old temple and very nice one. Pleasent Darsham. Should go with all family as the architecture of the temple is quite nice and everyone will enjoy.

The temple complex is huge. Wonderful architectural design. We went soon after Diwali so there was no rush in the temple. We had a nice darshan. visited the temple in the morning at 9 am which was less crowded and able to spend time in observing the architectural marvel and paintings. A big temple which need to be maintained with utmost care as i felt really bad on poor maintenance. Get annoyed by priest who are money minded to send prasadham on special occasion and least... Its a place right out of the history book. No one knows how old is this temple. Just that it is one of the biggest temple of Lord Nataraja. It takes about 2 hours in the local bus to reAch Chidambarm from Pondi cherry bus stop and would cost you arround 40 INR approximately. Frequency of the bus is quite... More

One of the most popular ancient temple of rich historic and archeological value. Chidambaram temple is very famous for the Shiva devotees. The temple closes between 1pm to 3 pm.

The great structure ,the grand temple of Anandanatraj stands tall as lord Shiva.. Here you just get the Darshan of dancing Shiva ...Enter through the large doors ,Stand before the deity and just have the bliss ..walls are painted with description of mythology ...The Doors close at 12 noon...So plan early

Temple is open from morning 8am -12Pm and will be reopened at 3pm .So need to plan when your visiting.Its great temple which has very rich heritage and sculptures .Must visit to seek blessings of Nataraj.

A beautiful, ancient temple on a grand scale. The central halls are beautiful, and there is interesting art in the gopurams, especially the north and south gopurams. It's worth spending time with binoculars studying the individual sculptures. Listen for the temple bells -- they signal the fire ritual and bathing of one of the Nataraja (Lord of the Dance) images.... More
