Sims Park is one of the biggest park in Coonoor. many plants and trees are there. Few trees are more than 100 years old.Separate children park is there in the down. Boating activity is there and we ourselves can ride the boat. Rose Garden is there in a separate area. Entrance fee is to be paid for both adult and children.

It's a renowned park and must visit park in Conoor. You can see a chart of trees mentioning some are planted around 100 years back. There is boating inside park as well. Three face lion emblem can be seen on entrance.

Visited just after the lockdown was lifted and the park was thrown open to Public. Thermal Screening was done and the park had ample social distancing markings. It is a relatively smaller park as compared to the Ooty Botanical Garden but lesser crowded as well. It's more than 100 year's old . Has a small boating enclosure as well. The park is spread across in slopes so there would be a lot of steps to climb up/down.

This is a wonderfully laid out and landscaped park housing several botanical species and home to several birds and butterflies. Definitely, a must-visit place in Coonoor. There is a fairly large lake in the centre and visitors can carry out activities such as boating on it.

More than a thousand odd species of towering trees sourced from 4 continents and flourished over past 170 years. Trees from far off places such as Canary Islands, Montrey bay and special trees like Camphor tree, Rudraksha trees etc also there. There is also a beutiful lake with paddle boating facilities and numerous benches placed under gazebos to spend 2-3 hours easily in the nature.

It is a botanical garden with very well maintained park. It has separate children's zone. Very picturesque place. Good photography can be done in a shiny morning. It may be little bit difficult for elderly to explore the whole garden, because it is on the vally of hill and going down the valley and coming back may be hectic.

This garden has a minimal entry fee and very well maintained by the government. The park has a lot of varieties of flora plus a mini boating pond as well. The pond is not that clean though. The park is huge with a lot of stairs to go down to the lowest level of the park.

It's a wonderfully maintained park with many really old trees. There are so many varieties and most of the trees have been neatly labeled showing the age. There are several unique trees and flowers. Don't miss to see the dancing dolls (search google for "dancing dolls flower" to get an idea).
The oldest tree here is from the year 1869!!
It's a place that will let you a learn a lot and at the same time, make you appreciate the nature more.

Rightly so it is number one on list of things to see and do in Coonoor. We took a train ride from Ooty to Coonoor. From railway station the park is about 3 km away only. It has an entrance fees. As you enter, you are immediately attracted to it. It is very green, a lot of trees and on a hill side. A feast for the eyes. There are trees dating to one hundred years ago also. The flower beds are neatly maintained. A very clean place. It was bad luck for us, as all entrants were shunted out of the park as a honey bee hive had been burnt and honey bees were on the attack.
