Take a ride to Ooty from coonoor and enjoy the scenic beauty of nilgiris. It is good way to sight seeing if you less time in hand. You can shop a bit at Ooty market and return back to coonoor.

You need not book tickets online. Just go the station early, at least an hour if not early and stand in the queue for the tickets. You should be able to board the train with a valid ticket easily.

I suggest hotel Sanjay at charring cross, in the heart of of the city, near botanical garden. I have stayed there last April. It seems a convenient location to visit around Ooty. best wishes take care
