The various sections in the museum deal with archaeology, anthropology, zoology, numismatology, botany and geology. But It is not a good museum. Not well maintained.

This small museum is near the excellent Gandhi Museum, but not really worth the visit as it is poorly maintained.

As usual Miseum, they are maintaining the old historical things for display. Good visit for students to know the history.

This is a very simple museum, but it is good to watch it. Not so much recommended.. just it seems to waste of time... so watch it only if you much time...

There are some interesting things in this museum, but the display is very dated, eg hand-made posters. Good geology display.

There is nothing much to talk about this. It is maintained just like any other government setup. There are few curiosities. Things like Gandhi memorabilia etc., But, nothing much to write about.

Really don't bother with this "museum" . It's not worth the 100/- entrance and I'm sure I had to pay for a camera too . It's two rooms of dusty , mangy objects - I couldn't wait to get outside . With all the "important " men hanging about surely the place could be dusted and cleaned up a bit... More

The museum is located within the campus of Gandhi Museum and in terms of size wise it is very very small. Ideally it shouldnt be called as museum at all because it so small and the total collection of items can be kept in a 100 sq.mtr room. Actually the museum size itself is probably less than that.

This museum was established during the 5th World Tamil Conference held in 1981. The various sections in the museum deal with archaeology, anthropology, zoology, numismatics, botany and geology. It also has a fine collection of bronzes, sculptures, musical instruments and paintings. Training sessions and summer training camps on arts, music and crafts are held here.
