Classic church.. Over 200 years old... Typical colonial architecture... Can get a bit noisy during school hours as there is a school in the same campus.. Must visit while visiting madurai.

Worth a quick look on your way to the nearby Tirumalai Nayak Palace. Exterior is impressive, interior nothing too special.

A quaint old church with lots of history attached. Don't forget to bio down stairs to view the tomb of a notable person.

Its a Church full of Peace at a Busy Place. It has a Rich Heritage over the City History & Stands still crossing 400 Years.. The Statues & the interiors are some of the best of all times.

If you're in the area, drop by for a visit. It's nice and cool inside for a rest. Photos allowed but not during service. Quite traditional architecture for typical churches in South India.

The cool spacious interiors were well maintained and tastefully decorated. The coloured glass windows were pretty, throwing patterns of blue, green, yellow and red designs on the polished floors. The grounds outside were also tidy and free from mess.

icing sugar perfect on the outside, awe inspiring on the inside. Certainly worth the interesting walk from the waters edge through the village, or through the market from the main rail station road.

We popped in when we were awaiting the palace to re-open after lunch. The cathedral was nicely decorated from Christmas & for me, a chance to say a prayer. If you go to the palace it is worth popping in for a loo.
