We went to this wonderful Research center and Museum on 15th May 2016, it was very well displayed and maintained building with complete information about all the varieties of Tribes along with the houses and materials/equipment used by them on display. The officer incharge of the museum is very knowledgeable about the tribes and their lifestyle, he politely explains everything,... More

We travelled here to visit in september but were not able to visit the centre. We waited a ling time and were told that we could enter after lunch. Despite waiting 2 hours, we did not gain access. I would suggestbthatbyounphone ahead and maybe access is possible?

This view point provides information on the different tribes residing at Ooty and hill ranges. Not the best place to visit, however if you have a spare hour or so, it is no harm learning something about people living a life different from ours.

It is a different type of museum as compared to normal museums. It is nice but most people are not aware of it. It is away from main city and may be around 5 -7 kms from town. The guide of the centre is himself from a tribal community and takes a lot a lot of interest in explaining things

This place is just ok. Children get bored over there. I think I was late that may be the one reason but this place is not too crowd. If you have spare time then only think to go.

It is a very steep climb. You could see the Todar house, which is like a cave. They are wearing funny ornaments. Some voluntary organizations are helping them to form libi for their language.
