If you are near Ooty it is advisable to visit this nature park. Forest department organised fun trips are there to see wild animals.

It was nice detour from ooty. Reached the park in the afternoon around 2. Booked bus group tour for the family. Saw couple of elephants, lots of langurs and deers. Kids will enjoy the trip.

We visited the Reserve last month,they take you on 3 kinds of safaris- by bus,gypsy and elephant.Since the route taken by the vehicles just takes you through the outer areas of the Reserve, so there is no chance of spotting any wildlife except the deer....More

Visited in the month of May which is best time to see lots of animals. Situated in the heart of Nilagiri biosphere this tiger reserve is home to tigers( more tigers are present as per forest officials record)

we were told that we can see several wild animals in the park but we were lucky to see deer and monkeys .tiger or elephants were not seen during daytime.

it was by chance we happened to this place as there was no rooms available in ooty for one day of our trip ..so opted for masinagudy..it turned out to be adventurous ..

There is no option for online booking or reservation . Have to go reception counter to buy the tickets. Importantly they don't accept cards. Have cash in hand.

On holidays more crowd will be there. You can visit Govt of Tamil Nadu Forest Department website for online booking.
