No word is sufficient to describe such beauty of nature. One can just look at the flowing water for a long time to enjoy the beauty.

Must see place in Ooty. Both lake and falls are must see. The roar of the falls is audible from quite some distance. The lake is pristine and water is so clear one can see through the bottom. Contrast it with the Ooty lake which is dirty. Boating facility is available and boatman will show the people around the lake.... More

We visited pykara falls in Dec 2016 on our way back to bangalore. This place was like a hidden gem. Even though there was very less water during our visit, we just loved the location and overall scenery. Must visit place.

Abundance of natural beauty and forests and lake....The waterfall itself is nothing exceptional but what is is the natural pristine beauty surrounding it - as if you are transported to many ages ago.....had to fend off a big monkey at the falls so be careful....do not carry any small bag in your hand if possible..it is quite a distance to... Pykara boat house is the best place to visit in ooty. Don't miss to take boat ride in pykara lake. We can enjoy a lot during boat ride.

After covering several attractions on Ooty - Gudalur Road, Pykara lake & Pykara Falls are about 30 Kms from Ooty. The lake is surrounded by forest on both sides and the area is a regular shooting location of South Indian movies. If we want to indulge in boating - speedboats & motorboats are available for rent, a restaurant and guest... More

We went in February and there was not enough water in dam. So they don't release much water and hence water in Pykara fall was very less so not quite attractive. So probably after monsoon only you can enjoy the Pykara fall. Pykara lake is very nice and we enjoyed boating there. They will take a ride of 8 -... More
