It's all been said before but this is an astonishing building. It floats and changes with the light; shimmers and sparkles. Impossible to capture on film or in words - you have to go there. Even cloaked in smog and wreathed in the stench from the putrid Yumani river next to it, the building rises up as a reminder of... More

This was our second visit to the Taj Mahal and, in contrast to our last visit ten years ago in the Spring, it was cool and foggy in Agra. Nonetheless, the Taj Mahal shone as a beacon through the mist. Truly a wonder. Grateful to have had the opportunity to see it twice in a lifetime.

This was our second visit to the Taj Mahal after 23 years and were quite disappointed as it was extremely crowded and were just rushed (pushed) in and out. We could not enjoy it. It really was not worth the visit from Delhi. Would definitely recommend the Akshardham Temple in New Delhi over this any day.

I'm sure the Taj Mahal is on everyone's bucket list. It was on mine! I was not disappointed in the visit. It is truly extraordinary! We were there during the worst of the air pollution so it was a little hazy. That was ok, you can still walk up close to look at the amazing stonework and inlay. There are... More

Its just amazing!! Well maintained. However kindly note few things: 1. You need to remove your shows before walking into the Taj. There are some guys who provide the cloak-room kinda service for your shoes, and you may pay them depending upon your wish at the time of exit. Alternatively, you may buy a "cover" for your shoes available outside... More

Must see destination that didn't disapoint - if possible plan to be there when the ticket office opens before dawn in order to get in early and avoid the crowds. We were able to take many great pictures without waiting for other tourists to move out of the way.

Once you successfully navigate the entrance 'maze' (successfully covered in other reviews), the sight of the Taj Mahal is breathtaking. The sheer scale of the building and its intricate and delicate designs will keep you awestruck for hours. Some tips from a 'foreign' family trip: 1. The dawn trip is not an absolute necessity in winter. Midday is the best... More
